2023/24 saw the Kansas City Chiefs lift their second consecutive Super Bowl, and third in the last four seasons. It’s been a great time to be a home fan at Arrowhead Stadium in recent years as their side goes from strength to strength.
The year ahead will once again have the Kansas City Chiefs right on top of the nfl betting lines havingbeen a team who have dealt with player turnover so well that it continues to dominate.
It is often the electric offences which grab our attention each year in the NFL. The speed at which many operate and the pin point throws from the elite quarterbacks, as well as how they break down the field themselves, highlights whats so great about this league.

Some of the star quarterbacks ready to impress again in 2024/25 include:
-
Patrick Mahomes
We have to start with the defending champion. Patrick Mahomes has been one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history. His all action play, ability to run as well as find accurate passes downfield with varied receivers year on year is beyond impressive.
Mahomes is a true leader on the side and has been from the moment he got his first shot with the team after drafting him 10th in the NFL Draft back in 2017. He played one game that first season before the Chiefs traded away Alex Smith and promoted him to their QB1 ever since.
Now 28 years old, Mahomes has three Super Bowls to his name, as well as two NFL MVP awards. He was a little behind on his stats last year as opposed to the three seasons prior. 2023/24 saw him record his lowest yards thrown with 4,183, his 27 touchdowns was his lowest since 2019/20 while his 14 interceptions was the highest he has ever recorded in an NFL season.
Despite all this, his pass completion of 67.2% was the highest he had recorded since joining the Chefs and will look to keep on building on this with the Chiefs looking dangerous once again in all areas of the offence trying to make it three in a row this season.
-
Lamar Jackson
The Baltimore Ravens crashed out of the playoffs last year. It wasnt a great display in their biggest game from their biggest star, but Jackson is ready to bounce back.
In 18 games across 2023/24 he recorded 4,102 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns and just eight interceptions. This is especially impressive withthe lack of elite wide receivers on the Ravens roster who use a more run-heavy offence.
Jackson was great on the run last season again, notching up 975 rushing yards himself, scoring seven touchdowns this way. Baltimore has now given him a true workhorse at running back in Derrik Henry to complement Jackson and cause havoc in opposing defences.
-
Josh Allen
The Buffalo Bills continue to look threatening eah year, but each one with Allen has somehow ended early. The blame cannot be placed on Allen, who recorded 4,695 passing yards with a pass completion of 66.7% last year. His 29 touchdown passes over the year was the fifth best in the league, though their pass heavy approach led to 18 interceptions, where only Sam Howell of the Washington Commanders.
Josh Allen will go into the 2024/25 season being rightly recognized as one of the top quarterbacks in the league again this year. What his head coach, Sean McDermott, needs to do is work out an improved gameplan to get them over the hump and into the Super Bowl.
-
Jared Goff
There has not been too much to cheer for a while in Detroit, but Jared Goff surprised us all with an incredible performance at quarterback that led the Lions to a 12-5 record to top the NFC North. He took Detroit to their first championship game since 1991 by throwing for 4575 yards, the second highest in the league behind Tua Tagovailoa, on 605 attempts.
With 30 touchdown passes he was an excellent pocket passer, slightly different to the more mobile quarterbacks on the list. That didnt matter as his wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown really stepped up and formed a formidable partnership seeing him bring in 10 touchdowns in 2023/24 which is almost just one shy of his combined two seasons prior.
These quarterbacks are at the top of their game and there are penty more looking to go above and beyond expectations next season.
Coming back from injury, Aaron Rodgers is a player to keep an eye on with the veteran quarterback hoping to inspire some positivity around the New York Jets.
Anthony Richardson in Indianapolis could make the leap he tthreatened to make last year before unjury hit. Jordan Love will also be looking to bring big things after his excellent end to last season.
